I have to download data from 5 forms in excel(I am using data import from we feature of excel and then reports get updated automatically). Each form is having more than 30K submissions.

Will jot form allow me to download in one go?Hope jot from server wont time out in the middle.

Also could you comment on the time it would take to download ?As excel would need to be refreshed everyday to view reports.

    Hi,

We have limits on downloading submissions to excel. This is to prevent server load and timeouts. If you have over 10k submissions, you will be prompted to download submissions by batches. Each downloaded excel file consists of 10k submissions data. You can compile it into a single excel file once you have downloaded everything.

Download time would probably take just a minute. It wouldn't take too much time.

    Thanks!

I am using download data from web feature of excel which doesnt download file but fill the sheet from jotform link (Create report htlm table listing ) directly.so whatever data is there in HTML table listing report gets filled in excel sheet.

In this case is there a limit on data I can download

    Hi,

As my colleague stated previously, once the submission count reaches a certain point, you would need to download the submission to an excel sheet in batches and then import the data from that sheet.  I have submitted your request to our development team to see if there is a way we can allow for a complete download that would allow for all your data to be pushed via the data import from web feature of excel.  We will let you know as soon as we can.

    Thank you for using JotForm!

@auditjotform- I *think* this is what you're referring to:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/get-external-data-from-a-web-page-HA010218472.aspx

My colleagues were referencing our built in export to Excel feature:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/44-How-to-Export-Form-Data-to-Excel

As for the former, I think this is the API call you would want:

    http://api.jotform.com/docs/#form-id-submissions

Under Optional parameters it has a maximum limit of 1000. But it also has the option to set up an offset, so you can download them in stages. Per your original question, you can't download 50k submissions results all at once.

Let us know if that answers your question, or if you need anything else.

    Thanks!

See I am downloading the report from HTML table listing report of the form.

If the HTLM report can show 50K submission then why will it not be downloaded in excel?

Oh. Now I understand. In that case if the report is generated successfully in the browser, then you may be able to import it successfully to another system.

I just tested creating an html table listing report with a large data set however, and it timed out. I'll write up this ticket, and this thread will be updated when we can support html table reports of the requested size. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Hello,

I am sorry, I couln't really grasp the issue here.

JotForm's submission page allows downloads including up to 32000 submissions in one batch depending on the number columns involved.

Both HTML Table and Excel reports are limited to 5000 submissions per view to negotiate between performance and data size as they are not static files, they are generated on-the-fly.

Please let me know if I can help assist you.

    Kind regards

    Hi alp_deniz

It strange. What you are saying is contradictory to other technicians in Jotforms

Also today I tried to download 8K submissions from Submission page.It didnt allow me more than 4K at one go.

Also I could view 16K submission in HTML table listing

    Hi,

There seems to be no contradiction as far as I can see:

JotForm's submission page allows downloads including up to 32000 submissions in one batch depending on the number columns involved.

Could you please provide us a link to your HTML Table listing so that we can check?

I would also appreciate if you please describe the problem in question.

    Thank you very much

    Best

    Hello auditjotform,

Please accept my apologies on this, I have missed Elton's post.

Related to Excel or Grid reports, they have been just fixed to a limit of 5000, so it is expected you to have more reports in the past. They are now perfectly normal.

    Thanks
