Issue with approval notification emails and approval workflow

    Hello Team, We having several issues with JotForm:

    1) The approvers have not receive the email to approve or deny the request.

    2)When they approved the request, JotForm does not update the status and remains "In Process"

    3) When the request has been approved, we have not receive the notification email of "Your request has been approved and will be processed."

    Khalyn approved the request but the status didn't change and we approved in her behalf and we still didn't receive the notification email.

    Hi MohawkNABS,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I have checked your form and approval workflow. I noticed your approval workflow has multiple approval steps. When all the approval steps will be approved or denied then your approval flow status will be changed to approved or denied. Otherwise, it will remain in In Progress state.

    Regarding email notification on approval status not working. Can you please check the spam/junk folder? Also, we can see that you are using the custom domain email address. Can you please go and whitelist the Jotform domain and IP Addresses in your email server. So that emails from Jotform are accepted by your server. Please check this guide on Whitelisting Jotform IP addresses and domains.

    Hi Mohawk,

    Thanks for using Jotform. We’re excited to announce that we’ve implemented the Group Approval feature in Approvals. It’s really easy to Set That Up. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In Approvals, click on the Approval element.

    2. Click on the Gear icon on the right side of the element.

    3. In the menu that opens on the right side of your screen, you'll see the General settings.

    4. In the box below Approvers, enter the email addresses or team names.

    5. In the Drop-down menu below Completion Rule, select one of the following:

    • Require response from majority: Approver responses are collected until the majority of responses received. If there is a tie, the first response with the majority is used.
    • Require response from all: When all of the approvers have responded, the workflow will proceed using the outcome with the majority of responses. In the case of a tie, the majority outcome with the first response is used.
    • Require a certain number of responses: Approver responses are collected until the required number of responses is received. If there is a tie, the first response with the majority is used.
    • Require response from one person: The workflow will proceed using the outcome from the first response.

    Keep in mind that it’s also possible to add teams in the Approvers so you don’t need to add the email address for each team member.
