    PayPal with apostrophe character in the product name does not allow the form to be submitted.

    Je vous écris de l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec. Ma collègue a créé la semaine dernière un formulaire d'inscription en ligne pour le Choeur de l'OSQ. Lorsque les choristes veulent s'inscrire en ligne et accéder à PayPal ils ont un message qui dit "please wait" pendant un très long moment et ils ne peuvent pas aller plus loin dans le processus.

    Hello Ève,

    I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

    I did check your web page and I was able to find the embedded form there. I did check your form and when I tried to send a test submission, I was able to replicate the issue you are having.

    It took me quite some time to figure out the root cause of this issue. It is actually caused by the product name you have added in your PayPal payment question "Cotisation - Chœur de l'OSQ". It seems the " " / the apostrophe character is causing this issue. I am reporting it to our back end team. We will get back to you as soon as this issue is fixed.

    For now, I would suggest you to please remove the apostrophe character from your product name and that should solve your problem.

    Je suis désolé pour le dérangement causé à vous.

    J'ai vérifié votre page web et j'ai pu trouver le formulaire intégré il. J'ai vérifié votre forme et quand j'ai essayé d'envoyer une demande d'essai, j'ai été en mesure de reproduire le problème que vous rencontrez.

    Il m'a fallu un certain temps pour comprendre la cause de ce problème. Il est effectivement causé par le nom du produit que vous avez ajouté à votre paiement PayPal question "Cotisation - Chœur de l'OSQ». Il semble que le "" / le caractère apostrophe est à l'origine de cette question. Je lui souhaite alerter à notre équipe de back-end. Nous reviendrons vers vous dès que ce problème est résolu.

    Pour l'instant, je vous suggère de faire plaisir à supprimer le caractère apostrophe du nom de votre produit et que dois résoudre votre problème.

    We would like to inform you that the issue with the PayPal product names has been fixed by our developers. The product names should be properly encoded now, and you should be able to use apostrophes and other symbols on them.

    I had the same problem and was just about to ask about it here now. but i found a solution so thought i would share now..

     

    i had a product name with an apostrophe and it would not send to paypal properly. I added this (specifying the char set) to my form and it works now.
