Add a 'duration in months' option for Stripe coupons

I want to create a subscription and then be able to create a coupon that allows the user to be able to get a discount each month for a particular amount of time

For example..........lets say I have a monthly subscription of $100 per month that a person can sign up for. However I offer them a coupon where the first 3 months will only be $25 and the remaining months will be the regular $100

I logged into my stipe dashboard and see that I can possibly create a coupon from there that can do this

    http://prntscr.com/4hd4ua

    Not sure though..............

Can this be incorporated using jotform?

I do not see this option...........

Another question.........if I can only do this in stripe..........then is there a way to use coupons created in strip and allowing that coupon to work if applied in jotform???

    Thank you for contacting us.

I am afraid that we do not have the 'duration in months' option in our Stripe coupons system. I have attached a feature ticket to this thread to see if it can be implemented at some point. There is no ETA for now, but we will let you know if we have any updates.

The second question moved into a separate thread:

You might consider manually applying Stripe coupons through their website. Unfortunately, it will not affect the first subscription payment, but the next payments will be based on the applied coupons.

We will also get back to you via the second thread.

Yes, you can create a coupon on Stripe and apply it to subscribed customers.

However, the first payment will be full (without any coupons) in this case.

Ok...so this option would not work for me since I am trying to create it so that the first X number of payments is at the discount

    Am I missing something here?

This is not possible with our Stripe integration as of this time.

We have forwarded two feature request tickets to our Dev Team (one on this thread and one on the second thread) about the coupons system improvements, but we do not know when it will be implemented.

As soon as we have any news, we will let you know.

    Hi,

You can now use native Stripe coupons for your form (subscriptions only).

Simply click the "Switch to Stripe Coupons" in the coupon screen.

Add a duration in months option for Stripe coupons Image 1 Screenshot 20

This will switch your form to use native Stripe coupons and display the coupons available for your Stripe account.

Note: Since Stripe allows coupons to be used only for recurring charges, this means they will NOT apply to setup fees if you have it configured for the subscription.

    Hope this helps.
