Approval Workflow: It doesn`t prefill the first and last name field to the target form

May I ask why the prefill function in another form was not functioning upon testing it?

It doesn't auto-populate the information I needed.

Thanks for getting back to us. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, and I ran into the same problem. When I looked at your form, I saw that the Full name element was set to read-only. That`s why when we initially fill out the form, it`s not letting us put a name on it, and that`s also why it wouldn`t be prefilled to another form. Let me show you how to fix it:

Once disabled you are now able to fill out that field and have it prefilled to the 2nd form. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

Upon trying your suggestion, it still doesn't auto populate and filled up the data on the Full Name Element of the Trustees Form. It can only now be edited only but not automatically filled up based on the details of the other form.

Thanks for getting back to us. Are you trying to prefill the data from the Angelito Miguel Scholarship Trustee Interview to Clone of Angelito Miguel Scholarship Trustee Interview? You submitted the test the other way around when I checked the mail logs. But I guess it doesn`t matter so long as you`re able to configure the source and the target form properly. Here is the related guide for this functionality.

I set Angelito Miguel Scholarship Trustee Interview as the source and Clone of Angelito Miguel Scholarship Trustee Interview as the target. Take a look at my screencast to see how I set the prefill function in the workflow approval:

• Add the form element to the workflow.
• Click on the Gear Icon.
• On the General tab choose your target form, and enter the Assignee Email Address below.
• Go to the Prefill tab, toggled on the Prefill Form Fields, then Select a Source Form to Get Data From and match the field that will be prefilled from form 1 to form 2. Click Save.
• Doing the steps above, you will receive an email notification to fill out the second form. You will get an email with the subject of "A form is assigned to you" which leads you to the 2nd form already prefilled with the details previously entered on the first form.

Also if approval will not be required in your workflow then you can utilize the prefill function in the form builder with the use of this guide. Give it another try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

May I ask if it is allowed to add only one email in the Assignee Email Address part?
