I downloaded the app and signed in. After which the app crashed and will not open.

Can you please confirm if you are now using the latest version 2.0 of the JotForm iPhone app?
Try also a re-installation procedure (uninstall and install again) to see if it fixes the problem.
If the issue persist, please provide us more details like if there was an error indicated, tell us about it. If you can also take a screenshot when it crashes, you can included the screenshot image in your message here. (use the Insert/edit Image tool)
