    Custom button text css problem

    Asked by ztwersky on August 31, 2014 at 02:35 AM

    As you see, in IE and Chrome, the buttons are aligned but the custom text is displayed with the original text. In Firefox there is a second problem that the buttons aren't aligned. This is my CSS:

    .form-submit-print{
    font-size:0;}
    .form-submit-print:after {
    content: "הדפס";
    font-size: 12px;
    }
    .form-submit-reset{
    font-size:0;}.form-submit-reset:after {
    content: "נקה טופס";
    font-size: 12px;
    }

    Also, in IE and Chrome, the form height is too high but in Firefox it's ok. This is my code on my site:

    ""

    What to do? Thank you.

    The workaround works properly on default submit button. Since you are using custom blue button, the following CSS codes will correct it.

    .form-submit-button-book_blue2 {font-size: 0;}

    .form-submit-button {font-size: 12px;}

    Result:

    Thanks! =)

    But then I can't control the text of the print button and the clear button separately.

    Yes you can, you still have to retain the CSS code for the print and clear text. It seems you have changed its selector (bold text below). It should be the same code you have provided on your first post. Kindly review.

    .form-submit-print{

    font-size:0;}

    .form-submit-print:after {

    content: "הדפס";

    font-size: 12px;

    }

    .form-submit-reset{

    font-size:0;}

    .form-submit-reset:after {

    content: "נקה טופס";

    font-size: 12px;

    }

    Thanks!

    Yes, I know. I tried this:

    #input_print_2 .form-submit-button-book_blue2{ font-size:0; margin-left:0 !important; } #input_print_2 .form-submit-button-book_blue2:after { content: "הדפס"; font-size: 12px; } #input_reset_2.form-submit-button-book_blue2{ font-size:0; } #input_reset_2.form-submit-button-book_blue2:after { content: "נקה טופס"; font-size: 12px; } #input_print_2.form-submit-button-book_blue2 img { margin-left: 8px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: -5px; }

    But the print text didn't change. I made a screen shot but your site won't add pictures unless it's a new post. You have a problem with your form.

    The code you just gave me is exactly the code I already had. So I should keep the old one AND add the new lines?

    Anyway, the buttons are aligned in all browsers since this morning. They are just not graphical on my side. (They were for an hour this morning.)

    No, it was changed.

    You have this on your print CSS currently.

    #input_print_2 .form-submit-button-book_blue2:after { content: "הדפס"; font-size: 12px; }

    While it should be:

    .form-submit-print:after { content: "הדפס"; font-size: 12px; }

    --

    The following is also not right. It was before but it seems you have changed it.

    #input_reset_2.form-submit-button-book_blue2:after { content: "נקה טופס"; font-size: 12px; }

    It should be:

    .form-submit-reset:after { content: "נקה טופס"; font-size: 12px; }

    Please check the bold text to see the difference. It was fine lately but it was probably changed by you.

    Thanks!

    No, that's not what I have. Yes, I had tried that but put it back. Are you sure you are looking at the correct form? http://www.vinewoodstudios.com/form-events.html

    This is what I have:

    .form-submit-print{font-size:0;}
    .form-submit-print:after {content: "הדפס";font-size: 12px;}
    .form-submit-reset{font-size:0;}
    .form-submit-reset:after {content: "נקה טופס";font-size: 12px;}

    #input_print_2.form-submit-button-book_blue2 img {
    margin-left: 8px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-top: -5px;
    }

    .form-submit-button-book_blue2 {font-size: 0;}
    .form-submit-button {font-size: 12px;}

    Yes I am looking to the same form and I can see you have changed it. Anyway, since this is a little getting out of hand, I have made the changes on your form. Check your form now.

    Thanks!

    A second ago I just changed the CSS so I might have messed up what you did. Can you do it again? Thank you.

    When I click on "edit submission" an empty form opens. This is not what "edit" should be doing. I need the "edit" link to show me all of your entries and them allow me to edit it. I shouldn't have to fill in a whole new form. Is this a bug?
