Calculated Values

I have found the calculated values section, and most of it is very helpful. However, I have run into a snag. I have a matrix of values (48) that are based on 3 conditions. I need one of these values to populate a field based on 3 other field values. But these 48 values on not actually on the form. I am able to create a conditional statement based on the content of three fields, but when I get to the end (the DO, FROM, TO statement) it asks me to copy or calculate the value and put it in a field. Well, the value I want to have entered in the field is not located on the form as it is one of the 48 values that are part of a matrix. None of the widgets seem to have what I need to contain a 'spreadsheet-like' value that can be called upon. Any suggestions? It would be nice to have another option to "enter the value".

    Hi Lori,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support.

May we ask for the URL of the form that we need to work on so we can run some tests and have a better understanding of how we can help you out?

You may also check this guide which may possibly help you with your concern.

Once we hear from you, we'll be glad to help.

Hi, and thanks for getting back to me.
I do not this uploaded yet to my site. You can find it here https://form.jotform.com/222165116875053
The 3 fields that contain the required values that I wish to calculate on are:
    Builder Level (1 to 4),
this unit to be enrolled under,
    Estimated Selling Price of UNIT
On a grid, (which is contained on the 2nd page of my original PDF – viewable only after the form is completed and the PDF is previewed), there is a fee schedule. So, if a builder chooses Level 1, 1 and 5 Warranty, and the Estimated Selling Price of UNIT is 250000, I’d like the fee of $425 to populate into the Enrollment Fee field.
I am just in the test phase of your product, but am enjoying what I see so far. I can see many uses, if we can get past this one hurdle, as this form is our main one.

    Hello Lori,

You have setup a condition on the form for that purpose.

    But it needs a change.

Instead of "Copy a Field's value" change it to "Calculate a Field's value". See this:

Please try this approach and let us know.

Excellent! Yes, this works. Not sure why I didn't play around with this a bit more. I did not know that selecting 'Calculate a Field's Value' could be used as a simple input method.
