How to make my subscription form appear only once in my website?

Hi, 

I've just installed that "subscription" to a newsletter overlay and was wondering if there's a way it could only appear once (cookie tracked) so it doesn't load on every single page of the site but only when you first hit my site. 

What variable should I add in the code of my subscription form?

Did you use some website plugin to add your form? If you can modify your websites form source probably you can add the form on one page and not all of the pages. 

This would probably depends on what you use and how you put the script in your site. If the plugins that you have used shows on every page then you might want to try a different one. 

If this is not the case can you please tell us on how you manage or edit your page like if example if you are using wordpress,joomla etc..
