Do you have another widget I can use for my radio buttons so only one option can be selected for each number?

    Hi there

I’ve been trying to update a section of our 2015 WOMAD volunteer application form and wondering if you can help us find a solution.

The section we are trying to update is the part with this data here –

Do you have another widget I can use for my radio buttons so only one option can be selected for each number? Image 1 Screenshot 30

Our struggle with this data for the last festival was that applicants could select multiple buttons under 1, 2 and 3 – not one for each. Meaning we didn't know what their top 3 preferences were.

I have managed to find a solution for another similar question using this –

Do you have another widget I can use for my radio buttons so only one option can be selected for each number? Image 2 Screenshot 41

But I can’t use this layout with my other question because there are far too many option choices and it ends up looking cut off…

The only other solution I can think of is if we have a text field where they can type in their top 3 choices, but this would mean more work/data entry on our end (we get 400+ submissions a year). Can you please let me know how I can get around this?

    That’d be hugely appreciated!

    Hello TAFTNEWPLYMOUTH,

I am not sure if I have understood your requirement correctly.

Do you want to know just the top preferences which your users have selected? Please be noted that in matrix field, users will always be able to select options for every row.

I would suggest you to take a look at the following widgets and see if they meet your requirement:

Visual Multi Select:  Users will be able to select their preferences which will be visible in the adjacent field.

Dual ListBox: This will also allow uses to select options form a list which will be visible in the adjacent field.

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions or you have a separate requirement.

    Thank you!
