Stripe trial for subscription based payments

I use stripe integration and want to create a form with a free trial

When the customer goes through the payment process will it say its a free trial or will we need to let them know somewhere on the form via text?

Also....what happens when the free trial is almost over or is over.............do they get some type of notification or does the system automatically just charge their card after the trial ends???

A free trial text should appear in the payment section. For example: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/42523751828963. I think there's a notification for both the expiry and after the charge, but see to it that email field is existing to your form.
