I created a contact form for our customers with Jotform. And we are really pleased with the result. However, our account shows that we are running out of upload space and we encountered the problem, that the form cannot be sent. We do not receive more than 100 submissions a month, so we do not want to upgrade to the Premium package. Is there a way to delete the uploaded pictures and thus minimize the data ?

In order to free up space you need to delete the submissions associated with the uploads. You can download a report in several ways to save a hard copy of the data before doing so:
