When trying to create a submissions report from a certain time period, I select Today,but the report is still including all submissions. Any fix ideas?

Depending on the report type, it may always include all submissions. However for the excel, CSV and PDF reports, you can in fact, include only certain dates. Here is our guide on how to do so:
It is done through the submission view interface for your form, rather than choosing a report from the dropdown menu in the "My Forms" section.

Actually that is what I'm doing and I'm pretty sure i've run the report for a specific time before and it has worked, but just not recently. It makes a report of all submissions and not just the ones from the date I select...
What type of report would necessitate always including all submissions?

When I run a PDF report of only a certain date, it does indeed only include the submission from that date. The submissions included in the time frame should be shown in the submission view when you change your dates.
When I checked your account, there were not submissions for the time frame you had selected, which is why it may be including all of them.

I'm trying to run an excel report.
Do I have to have Submission Date Field checked in order for this to work (cuz I don't really want that to show up on my report)
And actually, I'm asking these questions for another account not the one I'm logged into currently (the one I'm asking for I don't have access to the account's email address). I know that the form for which I'm asking does have submission for the time frame I'm selecting.

Excel reports should work exactly as I stated and I was able to to get the submissions from whatever time frame I chose. When you set the time frame, do only the submissions from that time frame show up, or do all of the submissions still show? When you change the time frame the submissions not in that window should no longer be shown in the submission view. After that, clicking on download as Excel should produce a spreadsheet with only those submissions. If this is not the case, could you please post a screen capture similar to the one I did? Just include the time frame at the top and then the dates at the bottom that are outside that window.
