I tried this and it is not working. Here are the links to form 1: and form 2: here's the URL I placed in the Thank You Custom URL field:{currentName}&membershipNumber={membershipNumber}. Receiving a 405 Not Allowed error

Can you try to clone this form I can't seem to find the error in your 'Form 1'. I cloned your form and tried stripping all fields, but there is really an error when passing.

I created a new for exactly same as your's to replicate the issue, but I'm unable to. In the newly created form the link you provided works so I guess there's some error on the first form when it was created.

After cloning the form please let us know if it still does not work.

I found what's causing this. You have to disable the 'Send POST data'.
