Find the appropriate code for each value on a radio button

I have viewed this item on the forum

    http://www.jotform.com/answers/373254-How-can-I-calculate-a-form-with-6-questions-and-each-question-has-a-dif

It appears to be what I need to calculate different values on multiple fields. When I open up the calculation field I can only enter the whole field - how do you get the different values shown in the above?

I am trying to calculate a number of different fields and then use the result to pass onto paypal as per this advice

    http://www.jotform.com/help/270-How-to-Pass-a-Calculated-Value-in-a-Paypal-Field-of-a-Second-Form

I have tried using form conditions - for simple maths this works but when I wish to subtract one field from another I get the formula and not the result. I need to point to the data and not the whole field.

I am sinking fast and not understanding how to use the calculation form.

Are you able to help please?

    Thanks Sue

    Hi,

Yes , you are doing it right. You can only browse the whole field in the calculation wizard not per value on the field.

To assign calculation value on the drop down, radio or check box options, simply click the cog icon when you click any of these fields and select "Show Properties".

Find the appropriate code for each value on a radio button Image 1 Screenshot 30

You should see the Properties window, look for the Calculation values and enter a number value per line. Example:

More instructions on how to perform calculation in the form can be also found here. https://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-perform-calculation-in-the-form

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply but I am still in difficulty - when I enter the
values they are shown in each field correctly, but it is not calculating -
it shows the numbers side by side in the cell. It must be a problem with
the way I am entering the data into the calculation wizard do you need to
use '=' or any other formulae?
Under advanced options I tried unchecking show as text but this made no
    difference.
There is something that I am not understanding - sorry. Sue

Sorry - have solved this I used the keyboard to input the operands and not
the calculation wizard - it is working now. Thanks
