Google Contacts Integration: some of the fields are not available when mappingAsked by Saracarrigan on September 13, 2014 at 11:47 PM
The Google Contact Integration does not provide with me with many options for me to successfully create a Google Contact as I wish from my Jotform Submission.
These are the 6 Target Fields I want to map to 6 Jotform Fields:
Full Name -> Ful Name (available and ok)
Email -> Email (available and ok)
Birthday -> Birth Date (Target Field unavailable)
Phone (mobile) -> Mobile (no Jotform Field selection available)
Address -> Address (no Jotform Field selection available)
Notes -> Emergency Contact Details (4 Jotform Fields available for selection but doesn't allow me to select the option I want, which is Emergency Contact Details)
I also checked my API and it has full access permission?
Can you please help?
I took a look at the integration app on your form and it does not seem to be properly functioning on it. However I tried a new form and it works like a charm. I will be working on the solution and get back to you how you can resolve this.
Thank you for waiting. I have tried to see what was the issue with your form and unfortunately can not see it. What I believe is that some of the widgets used are causing Google Contacts app to run as it does.
I have tried to create a form similar to yours and I can get some of the fields shown for integration, but not all.
This is the form that I had made to resemble yours:
I did not add any logic to it in order to dismiss that as a possible culprit. I will be notifying our developers about this issue and they will let you know in this ticket once they figure out what is the cause of this.
I must say that you have used our JotForm quite nicely in your project, I saw some creative workmanship :)
Thank you but I am unable to see you the form that you made to resemble mine... it says:Invalid Form URLThis form is not available for this domain.
Sorry, please open the suggested form URL instead.
You should be able to see my colleague's form on that URL.
You mentioned " I will be notifying our developers about this issue and they will let you know in this ticket once they figure out what is the cause of this." ... have you heard any news?
Our apologies. There's no updates about this issue as of the moment but this is already assigned to one of our developers. Rest assured, they will work into this and update you as soon as this is fixed.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
I tried to clone your form and I was able to match the fields except for the address field and birthday field. Please do take note that the address field matches only with the address form element in the quick tools of the form builder, while the birth date is not yet available.
With these issues at hand, I'll see to it that these things will be added in the next coming update of the integration. However, I cannot provide you yet a specific date when can this be implemented since we have a list of tasks in the pipe line. But as soon as we have added these features, rest assured you'll be informed right away.
Thanks for your patience.
I have now added the birthday field and fixed the phone (mobile) field.
However, for the notes, there is very little flexibility for that field at the moment. You can only match it with a text area field. So what I can recommend for that field is add a hint example or provide a default value for your question place holders there.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
Thank you very much, appreciate the quick response and help
On behalf of my colleagues, you are most welcome. We are happy that we could have this issue resolved for you.
