What is the difference between embedding a link for the form and adding the source code to my website?

    Hi,

Using your JotForm's embed code embeds the current JotForm into your page and all updates made in your account will be reflected in the embedded JotForm.  However, all changes must be made through your account and you are limited in how you are able to change the interactions between your JotForm and your webpage.

Using the source code takes a snapshot of your JotForm and dumps the current code.  This gives you more custom control with interactions in your page as you have access to all of the code.  This is generally for more advanced users.  Updates would either need to be made within your page's code or it would be necessary to get the new source code and re-embed it, each time you make any changes to your JotForm in the form builder, in order to have them reflected in your webpage.
