I have set up an order form that calculates the total for the order. I copied it and adapted it from a template. it is working well.

I would like to add to the form to show the total number of items ordered as well. Can someone please show me how?

    thanks

    Hi Nigel,

I have tried setting it up with conditions, but that did not work quite as expected. I however do have an idea how this would be possible and that is to have a custom javascript code added to your website just before the form is called.

This code would then count the elements and update the field with a list of the selected items.

Do let me know if this is something that you would be satisfied with and I will come back to give you a solution. In the mean time I will be working on it.

Also can you tell me if you are using forms source or if you are using the iFrame (recommended) embedding of the form on your website?

    Thank you :)

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Thanks Ben, I would be interested in the custom solution you have proposed.

I use the form direct via a web site www.getmeslim.co.uk and I also have it embedded into a Facebook group via a tab. www.facebook.com/CWPNigel. I am not sure if I'm using forms source or iFrame. I have just been following forum posts that explain what I want. Sorry I'm not much help in this regard.

Let me forward a note to Ben on this. Please allow us some time to work on the issue and get back to you with relevant information. This would take a while and hopefully Ben shall update the thread.

Since you have provided with the website URL, we'll inspect the method that you have used to embed the form. Thank you for providing with the URLs.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hi Nigel,

Thank you for being patient, I wanted to update you on this.

I have tried several different approaches, but unfortunately that can not be done because our widgets are on different domains than your server is, so the browsers would not allow this to happen because of the security implications.

Having said that jQuery nor plain javascript would be able to do that, the only option would be to see if such feature becomes available or if such a widget is added to our widget list in the near future.

I will add this as a possible feature to our developers and they will update you on this thread if they add this option to the widget you are using.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
