Are there any limits on length of normal dropdown list function?

    Hi,

Dynamic dropdown list doesn't work: http://www.jotform.com/answers/426748-Dynamic-Dropdown-Widget-dropdown-does-not-show-up-in-IE

And not in IE at all ...  I see that the widget is still available for hapless jotform users to waste their time on ... you should remove it ... it is not fit for purpose.

So, like many other widgets I am having to abandon it ....

Before i start creating long lists with the normal dropdown function .... can you advise me whether there are any limits with it ... or whether I can expect truncation because you didn't fix this: http://www.jotform.com/answers/203065-The-drop-down-list-is-truncated-if-i-set-many-values

    Many Thanks

    Regards Mark

For regular dropdown I'm not sure what exact number it will get truncated, but base on the submitted ticket before http://www.jotform.com/answers/203065 the file that were trying to add is about 11,012 and it only displays 2619 so roughly around 2000 will be shown.

I'm not sure if this is regardless of the numbers of character per item. According to aytekin they need to truncate this as it will cause browsers to crash if loaded a huge amount of list.
