This works really well and I'm using it on my site, BUT!...
If you enable the "Continue Form Later" feature and set the "Autofill" to enabled, then the fields set via the URL are ignored!
I'd really like to use both URL populating and autofill enabled. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks

Hello-
This would be the expected behavior.
- Prepopulating the field by URL sets the defaults.
- Autofill retains the data as was previously entered by the user.
The data previously entered by the user is the most relevant and what the user would like.
Let me know if that makes sense, or if there's anything else you need.
Thanks

Yes, I can understand that, but this make no sense for readonly fields. The user is not able to edit them.
Thanks.

I kindly ask you to share with us a form's url so we can test further this matter.
Thank you

OK, to demonstrate I have two links, one pre-fills the read-only field with "Hello", the other with "Goodbye"
Whichever link you select first will override the other link's pre-fill. As the field is read-only, it's impossible to change parameter 1.
When you consider that the read-only field on my live event registration page is pre-filling similar fields with the event location and date, we then have the situation where a user cannot enter more than one event, the second event will get overridden by the first event's details...

Hello-
Thanks for sending those examples. I understand those just fine, but apologize for not fully grasping what you're trying to accomplish. Per my colleague's request can you send us the form link you're working with? I looked through your forms and didn't immediately find a registration form that could accept more than one event for registration. I see just a single text field, which as you noted, it readonly. This form for instance looks like you can only select one event which can only be selected by prepopulated query variable.

It sounds like you might need to use a different field type, such as checkbox, to allow for registration of more than one event at the same time.
Thanks

That is indeed the form I was talking about. The link to that form appears on one of my event registration pages. For example the current live page is here http://www.rsfeva.org.uk/?event=volvo-rs-feva-grand-prix-northampton-sc
Next week there will be another event. If I enable the autofill option (which I'd like to do since many of the participants will be filling in the same details), then anyone who entered the event this weekend would then not be able to enter the next event.

Hello-
Now I see what you're asking. I'll submit a feature request for the option to have autofill be overridden by query vars.
Another option to try is chaining two forms together. One would have the values set by autofill, the other by query vars. Here's a pretty thorough tutorial on that.
Let us know if you have questions with this, or need anything else. This ticket will be updated if/when we implement the option to allow query vars to override autofill vars. It would be a toggle on this pane, I imagine:

Hello stiatti,
I have split your response to its own thread. I did this so that your interest in this feature request can be easier tracked and fulfilled. You can view this other thread here.
Thanks, Aaron
