Hello,
Well over a year ago when I was setting up several forms for collecting photo submissions I integrated them with Dropbox.
Having all submissions just land in the root folder of my Dropbox account posed several problems.
Knowing a thing or two I keyed in a specific path such as this:
/RETRO LOVELY MASTER/Retro Lovely Submissions
Successfully routing the folders to a subfolders in my Dropbox account.
I have on my schedule a complete rebuild of my forms but while tweaking another's Dropbox pathing I noticed this error:
The field can not start with /
This is currently working with my forms and a HUGE component of our production process.
If this can no longer be done here, is there another way to choose specific sub-folders?
Michael

Hello Michael,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a path to the dropbox integration. You cannot create multiple levels with '\'. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Reach out again if you have any other questions

Are you saying only two levels being a folder within my main Dropbox account?
I am currently having folders titled with the submission # placed deeper than that.
mydropbox/subfolder/subfolder/JOTFORMsubmissionID/myfiles
Due to my having entered a / in the path over a year ago
SO this worked then but no longer?
:
We use dropbox for many other things, not just JotForm
Organizationally we prefer them grouped according to our use and especially with how DB governs access of folders and subfolders

Hello Michael,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a path in the dropbox integration.
The integration automatically selects the root folder then sub folder.
You may edit the root folder name but you cannot add "/".
My colleague has forwarded a feature request to our developers.
Once we have further information, you will be notified in this ticket.
Thank you.

Hi Micheal,
Can you please inform us why you need to put "/" at the start of the path? The integration already starts with the root folder and places a folder at the root directory of Dropbox. Then you can still put deeper levels to folders by separating the levels by "/". Thus having "/" at the beginning of the folder path or not seems to have no difference. But there may be a different need of yours, so can you please enlighten us about the use case?

Hello, sorry I have not been able to get back here as we have gotten busy.
I reworked another form of ours based on ugurugurlu's comments here
Indeed I did not need the / and was able to path the files correctly
HOWEVER - the files that were delivered to Dropbox, well, I see icons for them, I see the file names
But all the byte values a 0 as expected opening them doesn't work, there's an error
SO your info on the pathing seems to work, but what is happening to the files?
I can't afford to change our main database as daily we receive an average of 200 files WE NEED in order to do our work.
This is the form I did the test on: https://www.jotform.com/tables/211583812057151 you'll see the files there.
This is a screenshot of what is in the Dropbox folder

Hi Michael,
Thanks for getting back to us. I tested the Dropbox integration on my end and the PDF was transferred with no issue. I am also able to access the transferred form.
See below:
Unfortunately, you can only do 2 Folder Level paths for your Dropbox integration.
With the example you provided, you can only transfer the form to the folder "michaelbann"
Or use the following Path:
Or you can create a "TEST" folder directly on the "Users" folder and use the following path:
Your request to create more than 2 paths has been forwarded to our developers however it is not a guarantee.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Thanks Michael!

Rhina,
Currently my main form ( https://www.jotform.com/tables/210582748337057 ) is pathing to this string:
/RETRO LOVELY MASTER/Retro Lovely Submissions
and then a folder created for the submission number:
This was set up in March of 2021
It is delivering files to that location
What has changed?

Hello Michael,
Thanks for getting back to us. I cloned your form and I was also able to view the uploaded files in my Dropbox account. Is there an issue in your Dropbox integration right now? If so, can you provide us a screenshot? Or if it is the file uploaded in your Dropbox, can share with us the link? Pease do note that you may need to Public it so that we can view it right away.
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

Ryan, first things first. Please read your other associate's comments here.
Unless I am crazy they are stating the path I am using that you just used, and worked for you, isn't possible
Can we get a clear verdict on that
