How do I get the senders email to show up instead of

I created a website that has the forms and is linked to our email address. When I receive an email, it says I received from "jotform". I need it to say their email address so that I can search for an individual customer and instantly reply back to them.

    Thank you

    Hi,

That tells me that you have set up the email forwarding properly, but unfortunately we have some issues with our email system which is causing this to happen. We are currently working on fixing this and are using our backup email system to deliver emails.

I would like to suggest that you use the submissions for now instead. If you check them you will be able to see who has submitted your form.

You can see here how to do that: http://www.jotform.com/help/269-How-to-view-Submissions

We do hope that this will be resolved soon and we apologize for any inconveniences this might have caused you.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    Hey Bioniclt,

There is another work around for this issue. In the meantime, you can set the email field on the form as the "Reply-To" option in your Email Alert settings. This will not show the user as the sender of the mail but, it will make your work a bit easier in the sense that you can simply hit the reply option in your email and the user's email should be addressed as the receiver for the reply mail. I hope this helps, if not, I will be here for further assistance.

    Hi,

Yes,  @seanmccthy that is correct for sending extra data, but we are temporary experiencing issues with the emails which are causing this to happen to some of our subscribers and that info is not shown properly in the emails.

I would recommend leaving the no-reply@jotform.com (sender e-mail field) to our servers so that you can start getting emails as soon as our developers resolve the issue.

If you want however, you can send the emails using your own email instead by following these steps for SMTP setup: How to Setup SMTP for a Form.

Hope this helps you and do let us know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
