    2) An even bigger problem is... when you get to the bottom of a multi-page form and hit the Next button with validation errors, nothing happens for assistive technology. I'm using the JAWS screen reader. The premium way this is done is by placing the focus into the first errant input and changing the label to "Enter required field: Street Address" or something similar. All of the errant labels on the page would be changed to that format, so the user can quickly tab through and catch the errant data input. (A simpler method is to pop an alert that says "Street address is required" then change focus to that field.)

I understand that you want to display the validation errors for input fields with their respective labels that helps the user to identify which field is having the error rather saying 'This field is required' and to change the focus to the current error input field.

I am sending your request to our next level support for consideration of your requirement as a feature request. There is no ETA at the moment. If there is any progress, you'll be updated through this thread.

Basically, your form validation needs to be made to be accessible for people with disabilities. There are many ways to do it. Here's a resource that can greatly help http://www.deque.com/blog/accessible-client-side-form-validation-html5-wai-aria/

    Thanks!

We can only add one feature request ticket per support forum thread. If you would like to see more options considered and implemented (for example added aria-required=”true” attribute), you can post your suggestions on the separate threads.

There are multiple components involved all with the same overall purpose -- to make your form validation accessible. But, if you require that this all be done piece-by-piece, then let's knockout the crucial piece first and make it simple...

    - Please add a popup alert on next page and form submission buttons that lists all validation errors on the page.

Plain and simple. It's not the best way to go, but if we gotta do it like this, then let's get it done. =)

It sounds like it might conflict with the autofocus approach and required labels. Do you want to have both options the popup alert at the end of the form and the autofocus (on unfilled fields) at the same time?

    Thank you.

I didn't include any other features on the request, but if we're allowed to add more than one feature here, then...

    - Please add a popup alert on next page and form submission buttons that lists all validation errors on the page.

    - When the user clicks OK on the alert, change focus to the first field containing a validation error.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your clarification. I've added the feature request to display validation errors only. Your additional information has been noted and attached to the feature request.

    Thank you!!
