Can I automatically parse collected data and feed it to Google Maps?

Asked by jjsatkowski on July 26, 2010 at 08:11 PM

Is there a way I can I automatically parse collected data and feed it to Google Maps? I would like to be able to collect location information provided by users and have it automatically sent or linked somehow to a custom Google Map that I have created in my GMail account.

Unfortunately, it is not currently possible but we have plans to provide an API to make this possible.

I'm not sure of terms: "Parse and API", but I think this is my question too.  I would like the option of having one of "My Maps" from Google display in a submission.  However, I wouldn't use the same map for all submissions.  Sometimes I would want to use the default and other times load one of "My Maps".

    Thanks,

    Patti

So, you would like a "report" option where you can get the output as a Google Maps? If you do not want all submissions to be shown on the map, exactly how would you choose which submissions will be included in the map?
