Is there any way to split submissions report by product or sub-product?

I'm using this to set up the hot lunch menu orders for students at school. I've got each day in the month set up as a product, and the different options available underneath this as subproducts.
It seems like, no matter how I configure my item, when I look at the results report, all I get is one field with a bunch of orders in it for each submission.
This is not easy to pull into my spreadsheet for calculating order totals per meal. Is there any way to split this up into separate fields in the report, by product, if not subproduct?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there's no way you can change the spreadsheet output of the submissions. You cannot split those before generating it. You have to manually do it after you download the excel file.

Okay, thank you. Hopefully there will be some way to do that in a few years when someone else takes over my job here. I can write a macro to take care of it, but no guarantees that anyone else would know how to do it.

Hi,

The way our payment forms pass the data, everything that is included in the payment section is passed as its own set of data. For this reason, our reports treat it as one entry. It is possible to create all of your products outside of the payment section, and then pass only the final value to your payment field:

This would treat each field as its own entry and the only information collected by the payment field would be the total. However this would require a complete overhaul of your form. If this is something you would like to try, let us know the form you are working on and we will be happy to help you get it set up.

Unless there's another widget that makes setting up the items and subproducts with custom quantities, subtotals and total calculations, as easy as the purchase order widget, I think I'll use what I've got and deal with it in the spreadsheet. Thank you, though.

The method I referenced is definitely not as user friendly to set up as the order widget. From the looks of your form, you would also need to be making frequent updates to your products which would make upkeep much worse with the other method. For you case, staying with the payment widget is probably the best bet.
