Creating a placeholder (descriptive text) inside of the box

See the attached screenshot. I'd like to recreate this form in JotForm so that I can add the auto-responder aspect. I'd like a theme that puts the title inside the box to save space. Is this possible?

    Hi,

Just to be sure, I presume that you meant the placeholders that are found inside of the widget instead of having the label above it?

You can do that by setting the "Hint Example".

You can see it in action here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42691854746972

You would need to remove the title once you set the "Hint Example" field as it will not be removed automatically.

If you have any further questions please let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Ha, that was a nice thought, but it doesn't make the form any more compact
as the asterik is still above the box making it the same height as before.
So I'm guessing there is no other option to make it exactly like the form I
created in another program and shared with you?

    Hello Emily -

We can help you make your form exactly as it is on the screenshot - exactly.

Would you mind providing the link of the website where the screenshot was taken?  We would like to examine it for the exact dimensions.

We will work on a demonstration - and provide the instructions and CSS Code that you can use to style your form.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Cheers!

    @emlogodesign

In addition to my colleague, please check and review the following form if this is what exactly you wanted to achieve excluding the image.

    http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42720857066963?

You can clone this form if you want, guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/28-Cloning-a-Form-from-a-Web-Page

However, if you want it to be as exact as the screenshot, kindly let us know the website URL as previously asked by my colleague so we can assist you further.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I have made further changes to the jotform I made above, please take a look at it and let us know which part of it you would like to have changed.

While we can make it look like any other form on internet we can not know the exact details that you are interested in having.

The form you have given a link to for example does not have a date field, while we had added it and it was made out of 3 boxes (we have widgets that hold date in 1 box as well) so using jotform you allow your users to select proper date, while the other form can get 'test' written in the date field and will pass.

If you would like to see the shadows under the form that can be done as well as shown by my colleague Welvin above http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42720857066963

While we understand what you want to accomplish can you please tell us if there are any places that can look differently or if they must all look the same (for example as mentioned for date field).

I have removed the date field and added a regular field instead of it to see if that is what is what you wanted to see. You can see the form here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42691854746972

If you clone the jotform to your own account you can change the image and the fonts and anything else that you think would need some tweaks or let us know the specifics that you would like to be different.

You can see here how to clone a jotform: How to Clone an Existing Form from a URL

    Best Regards,
    Ben
