Hi oscarmorrison, Jotform support,
Very interesting matter, I am looking into the same thing for my own iPad form. I guess you are talking about client-side image compression (or even resizing would make the file a lot smaller) before upload...is that right?
Did you find a solution for this yet?
I know that there are a couple of fully JS solutions and some which use libraries, I think all of them using the HTML5 canvas. I was not yet able to integrate this into the Jotform file upload component, but maybe Jotform support can help us out a little on this?
These are the ones I found:
@JotformSupport, is there a(n easy) way to integrate one of these compression/resizing methods into the Jotform File upload component?
Thanks a lot!

We do not have a feature that would accomplish this one. We can request this to our developers if you want. Let us know.

That would be awesome, thanks.
In the meantime, would you be able to help out integrating the solutions I showed in my first post? Especially the solution provided here seems to be quite easy...
