Auto increment-Unique ID- not passing to Paypal

I've tried a few things, resetting the index (both inside the properties and using the button on the toolbar) and even tried adding leading zeros. Nothing seems to work.

    Hi,

I presume that you mean that the unique ID given by Unique ID widget does not get incremented:

Now when I have tried submitting the form I got different IDs every time.

What I would recommend is next. Please remove the unique ID widget then add it back to your jotform and set its properties as you would like to have them.

After this is done, do let us know if your new IDs are generated properly or if you are still experiencing the same issues.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

No, not the unique ID widget - I haven't been using the widgets because the other person editing the form has to use IE7 and she couldn't use or even see other widgets (and the users will be using IE7 as well).

I'm using the unique hidden field (it gets passed to PayPal as an identifier for the payments).

I just tried it again and still no increment. If you look through the form submissions you'll see that it was working and then stopped, I tried to reset it to zero (this time using two zeros - which you don't have) and now nothing.

Ah, wait. Could it be because I'm "bypassing" PayPal in my testing - that is, having a zero balance transaction? The field is passed to PP as a custom field.

Since you are not completing a transaction that's why you do not see the Unique I (or unique hidden field, which is the same)

Thank you, Jeanette. That's a relief.
