App Builder: Thank you page is not showing/showing too fast and then form automatically refreshes within the app

    Hi there


    I have my form and app working well. The only issue I have is if the form is completed through a browser it works perfectly and the thank you page also shows properly.

    If submitting the form via the App - after submit there is a blank page and then the form goes back to the start (no thank you page appears).

    Could you please fix?

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my results:

    I have cleared your form cache on our end. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same problem again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.

    Thank you for responding.

    It's still not working and I have had a few others test it and it does not show the thank you page. Also the thank you that you got and posted above is not the correct one. I have updated it to show the fields of the team and round. It works perfectly on the desktop, just not mobile.

    Thank you for your feedback. If you can share the link to your APP, we can check it out and see what’s going on. I tried integrating my cloned version of your form into my sample APP, and here`s how the thank you page appears on my end.

    If this thank you page on my sample is not what is supposed to be the thank you page on the form integrated into your APP, could you share the screenshot of the Thank You page you intended to use? This guide will show you how to do that.

    Hi Sue,

    Thanks for getting back to us and we’re sorry you're having difficulties with this. ​​I tested your form and had the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developer team. My tests shows that after the thank you page showed, it automatically restarted the form within the App.

    Although we don't know exactly when the issue will be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.

    Hi Sue,

    Thanks for your patience. After investigating further, we found that the behavior is expected when the form is shown directly from the App. As a workaround to this, we can disable the show form option to prevent the page from refreshing automatically. Let me show you how:

    • In App Builder, click on your Form and on its Gear icon to open the Settings.
    • Toggle thee Show Form option to Off.

    This will minimize your form in your app but your responders can still complete it by tapping on it. You may also add other elements in your app using the Paragraph element, Heading or Image to introduce the form on the app. Thanks for your understanding.

    Hi again.

    I've done the fix as you suggested. Unfortunately it is freezing mobile devices after responders select the form.

    Any other suggestions?

    I'm using iphone 8plus and I got my friend to try on her iphone 11plus. Both froze at first screen

    Hello Sue,

    Thanks for getting back to us. May we know the OS version of the devices where you tested the app? I am unable to test the app since it is set to Private. Will that be fine if you set your app to Public so that we can test the form directly on your Jotform app to see if we can replicate the issue? Simply click on the Publish tab at the top part of the App Builder and click on the Gear icon to change it to Public.

    Both phones are on ios 16.0
