Automatic Countdown for Submitting Forms

We have a linked form that we want to auto-submit when the linked is clicked in the email. I see I can do that with the automatic countdown. If the person clicks the link, then it will open the page. What happens if the person leaves the page before the countdown hits zero?

Could you please provide more information about the widget you have used? Is it the countdown widget? I tested this widget. It did not submit the form when I exit the page.

I don't have it built yet. Basically what I'm going to do is have and ID number which goes back to our database software. We will use zapier to fill the form with the ID and create the custom link for the form. Once we send the email, we just want them to "click this link to confirm receipt".

I am trying to evaluate and analyze your requirement, but it's not clear to me, I'm afraid.

If you are looking for an option to submit the form automatically, you may want to take a look at our Global Countdown Widget. This widget makes your form submit itself when the timer hits zero.

Yep that's exactly what I'm looking for. Will the Global Countdown Widget work if they click the link and they do not wait for the countdown to finish?

Thank you for getting back to us with the confirmation of what you are trying to achieve. I test the Global Countdown Widget but unfortunately, it did not submit the form when I exit the page. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I can go ahead and send a request to the Developer Team to work on this feature but when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.
