I am working on a form but when i added a selection connected to the GPS widget, the selection doesnt show the map!
i wonder what did i do wrong!?
- BenAnswered on October 08, 2014 at 04:43 PM
It seems that everything is setup properly.
What I would suggest is that you do a hard refresh of the page by clicking on CTRL+F5 when you are on the page / jotform preview - if in a separate tab from JotForm builder.
This will force it to clear out all the data of your choices and offer you fresh jotform.
Please let us know if the issue persists for you again after this.
Also, make sure that you do not forbid the option when/if you are ask to share your location

I am sorry but it did not work!

Our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused.
I was able to reproduce the problem with your form.
However, creating new GPS location widget shows the map. Example: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42810371136952?. There may be updates on the widgets back-end that's causing this.
May I suggest to recreate the GPS location widget with your form, this might help resolve the problem.
If the problem still persists after recreating the GPS widget, let us know here so we can address this to our developers.

Thank you so much for your answer but i thought about that before and tried it again and the problem still the same.

Hi,I am sorry to hear that it did not work for you. I have now cleared your jotforms cache and would like to try this in 2 different browsers (for example Firefox and Chrome) and see if it is still not shown to you. Also if you can then run the jotform created by my colleague to see if you can see it on his jotform? If you can see his, but can not see on yours then it might be some issue with your jotform. If you can not neither of them then you might have forbidden sharing your location with our servers by accident, or that there is some issue in the backend on our side so we will raise this to our developers to inspect.
Sometimes however if there is an issue with the jotform you can try cloning it from your own account and the issue would get removed.Do let us know how it goes.Best Regards,

Thank you so much.
I tried all your suggestions and I even tried safari on my iPad but the map doesn't show.
i guess there is a misunderstanding, maybe I was not clear enough, I apologize.
The problem is not with detecting my location despite the fact sometimes it give me wrong locations but the main problem is as you see in the picture I included with my question that it show the address only without the map although the mini map option is turned on. You can see the map in the form but when you review it and/or review the form in a different tab, you can not see the map only but you can see the address of my location, not exact but sort of exactly.
I did not have this problem before until I added the button and condition I have now (help with address?(Yes/No))
Sorry for the headache am causing for that matter as I apreciate so much how you guys are so professional and how you provide a very amazing product "jot form "

I will notify our developers regarding this issue and they will take a look. Once they do they will let you know what can be done or resolve the issue, if it is happening from our side.
What I can suggest is to clone the jotform or use the clone you have already created and remove the conditions to see if that helps and if it does do let us know.
- ahmedaallamAnswered on October 09, 2014 at 02:10 PM
Yes the map works fine once the condition is removed!
so, there is something trigger the map to disappear when there is a condition!
- BenAnswered on October 09, 2014 at 03:29 PM
Thank you for updating us.
OK, until our developers look into this I would suggest setting the jotform to display the maps by default, and if they select no, to hide them.
Once our developers take a look at it and find the cause they would update you about it through this thread and you could edit the setting to be opposite once again (as you want it to be now).
- ahmedaallamAnswered on October 10, 2014 at 11:49 AM
I am not sure if it is a map issue or the bootstrap switch field issue with condition as i have just added at the 3rd page a Yes/No Bootstrap switch with condition with two dynamic text boxes and they don't show the field complete on the preview as well!?
- BenAnswered on October 10, 2014 at 12:05 PM
OK, thank you for letting us know. I will update our developers on this as well.
Both issues might be caused by the bootstrap then.
Is this on the same jotform or on a new one? If it is on a new one please open a new thread and mention this one in it and we will open a thread to our developers for the issue there as well.
- ahmedaallamAnswered on October 10, 2014 at 04:01 PM
Thank you and it is for the same form.
- BenAnswered on October 10, 2014 at 04:07 PM
OK, thank you.
I have already updated our developers with the details from your last message.
They are looking into this issue and will get back to you here as soon as there are any updates on this.
I do apologize for any inconveniences this might have caused you.
- ahmedaallamAnswered on October 11, 2014 at 10:51 PM
Just to keep you updated and i dont know if it is related to the same issue or not but it is related to the same form issue
I tried to change the bootstrap switch to Radio button but the fields are not clear as well
At the preview
as you see, something wrong. But when you delete the the row using the trash icon and add more, it goes normal, which i never understand why?
I also tried to use the same step with the GPS map by changing the bootstrap switch to Radio button and the same issue
At the Preview
At the editing area
The map at the editing area
You already told me that you updated the issue with your developers. So, nothing to be done so far i guess. Thank you

Hi I just want to inform you that there is an issue with widgets if show it using conditions (from hidden state). If I'm not mistaken this will happen in most widgets. We are aware about this problem and we're taking the necessary actions to give it a proper solution. Hopefully it can be fixed soon.
Widgets Team are doing there best. So stay put for updates. We'll let you know once we got something. For now I apologize for the inconveniences that have caused you.

The issue is now resolved - the GPS location widget and other widgets will show as expected when hidden/shown using conditional logic actions from your form:

Please share your experience with us - and thank you for your patience.
