Is there a way to have the exported file name NOT include the current date/time stamp? I would like to have it replace the file to the same name.
Or is there a way to truncate the new information into an existing file?
This is a re-post of a comment on How to Export Form Data to Excel

I think you can achieve that if you use the Excel Report method instead.
In the Excel Report, you can have the option to exclude some data in the selection
Hope this help. Inform us if there is more we can help you with.

This will help me fix another matter but does little for the final name of the report file. This method also adds the date to each filename thus making it a different name each time the report is ran.
What I need is a way to run a report or download an Excel file with the same name each time it is needed.

Thank you for the clarification. I think I misunderstood what you needed from the last time.
I thought it was the Submission Date that you do not want included in the Excel download.
From what I understand now, what you wanted is to have a custom filename for the Excel download.
At the moment, I cannot find a means to automate the renaming of the Excel filename when downloading the submission data. It always includes the time stamp in the file name.
But can you please check the JotForm Reports To Cloud Apps.
Check it here http://apps.jotform.com/app/reports_to_cloud
Can this work for what you need?
Please try it also. Update us of the result.
Let us know if still not satisfied, and we will find way to achieve what you require.
