I want sales reps to use jotform to enter orders, but NOT capture payme

I want sales reps to use jotform to enter orders, but NOT capture payment info or accept payment when submitting. Payment comes later. Order (form) submitted, order prepared, order delivered, then I process their payment - more than 6 days later. I'd have to submit a new form to handle the payment if I integrate with square? That defeats the purpose. Sounds like the ONLY way I can use this integration is to accept payment immediately or within 6 days?

    Hi Plagman,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, you can certainly achieve this with the Product List element and not require any payment information once submitted. Check out the steps and screencast below to see how it's done:

    • Click the Add Form Element and add the Product List under the Basic tab.
    • Click on the Product List icon on your form to add products to sell, offer coupons, add shipping choices, apply taxes to online transactions, and generate invoices that customers or clients can receive after placing an order successfully.
    • Given that you do not want to accept payment right away, you can skip the Add Payment Integration step.

Alternatively, you can instead enable the Payment Authorization feature for Square's payment integration. It’s a two-step payment solution that lets you authorize and capture a payment later. This feature is helpful if you wish to preapprove payments before delivering the physical items you’re selling. Check out the steps and screencast below to see how it's done:

    • Click the Add Payment Integration button.
    • Select the payment option. Then click the Use Selection button.
    • Scroll down, and click the Additional Gateway Settings to expand it.
    • Look for the Authorization Only and toggle it to Yes.

For Square, the authorization link to charge customers will expire in six (6) days. Click the Charge Customer Now link through Jotform Tables and the form’s Notification Email.
