Why is the secure form not loading?

Asked by besttrvl on September 16, 2011 at 07:47 PM

I created a form for my site and am using the "secure: iframe to load it on the page where I have my SSL certificate.  Yesterday it was fine, today there is an error.  What is happening to the secure form?  I haven't gone over my monthly limit of secure forms.  I haven't received any yet.

    Hi Linda,

Unfortunately, HTTPS/SSL is currently disabled as of the moment. We also had to change the DNS IP addresses because of DDoS attacks. The old IP address is probably cached on your end. Until your DNS cache is cleared:

    1. Use www.jotform.net to access your account
    2. Use form.jotform.com to link to your forms.

We are working round the clock to resolve all technical issues. For the mean time, please update all links and embedded forms from "https" to "http" and follow the prescribed URL (form.jotform.com/form/XXXXXXXXX).

We do apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for using JotForm.

FYI, in my case the HTTPS form is visible on IE8, but not on Firefox or Chrome. Thanks...

    Hi there,

In addition to my previous post, HTTPS/SSL is currently disabled for forms that are embedded through https://form.jotform.com/form/XXXXXXXXX, however, you can still make secure submissions by using https://www.jotform.com/form/XXXXXXXXX. The downside is that it only works with Google Chrome and IE8. Thus, using "http" is still the best option for the mean time. Hope this helps.

If you do have any other questions, you are more than welcome to contact us again.

    Great News about secure forms!

    1. We have fixed the problem on security certificate of secure.jotform.com, that should work properly on Windows Firefox now.

    2. We also have the new security certificate for www.jotform.com. So, that will also keep working.

You can use either www.jotform.com or secure.jotform.com. Both options will work.

    Thank you for your patience.
