Hi, is there a way to stop a form from automatically adding new fields to your existing emails/approvals? currently, anytime a new field is added to a form it seems to show up in the emails without having been added.

    Hello Rox,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. The form has an option to allow browsers to Auto complete the form fields. This could be the reason for the auto-population of data into your field. You may try disabling this feature by following the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Click Form Settings
    3. Go to Allow Browser AutoComplete
    4. Set Allow Browser AutoComplete to No

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

This does not appear to be the issue I'm talking about. I am not talking about the fields when you fill out the form. I am talking about adding entire fields to the form in editor. Ex: If I have a form with 5 current fields and an email auto responder set up that includes 4 of the fields, but then I add a 6th field to the form, the auto email will automatically add this 6th field to the email response even if I never added it to the auto response email myself.

    Hi Rox,

By default, the newly added fields are inserted into the emails. Currently, there is no option to stop this from happening. Thus, you must manually remove fields you do not want in the email. I've gone ahead and escalated a feature request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Reach out again if you have further questions.
