Hi team, Please review the screenshot. I should not be allowed to duplicate an entry, if you see in the screenshot there are two entries for the same work location. This is not correct. We do not want duplicate entries to be allowed in this form.

If you look at the spreadsheet, you will see my entries in rows 12 and 13 this is the same data twice, i was allowed to do this. This shouldn't be allowed.

    Hi Mughees,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Did you mean that you were able to copy the data under the Work Location row? It is not possible to duplicate the whole rows in tables. However, you can copy the value of any cell and paste it into another cell, which is the case with your concern. Please check the screenshot below:

No no I'm not asking about the copy and paste. I need like one same user with the same email filled form 2 times with the same data so we need to stop sending the same data in google sheets. if the same user filled in different ways then we need to show the data.

like in the example the same user filled the form 2 times and the data is showing the same in the sheet we need to stop the same data if the same user filled it with the same previous data.

we need to show different data not same for the same email because same email person has filled it already.

    Hello Mughees,

Thanks for getting back to us. To prevent the same user to fill in the form again, I suggest enabling the Unique Question feature. This way, if a user enters the same email address, the form won't be submitted. Let me show you how:

    • Open your form in Form Builder.
    • Click on the Settings tab at the top part of the Form Builder.
    • Click on Show More Options.

    • Scroll down a bit to see the Unique Question feature and select the Email field.

That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello Mughees,

Thanks for getting back to us. I tried checking if we can select all the answers, but it is not possible at this time. Alternatively, you can just enable the unique submission feature, especially if you do not want to have a duplicate entry in the same location. Doing that is easy. Let me show you how:

    • In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    • Click the Form Settings on the left side of the screen.
    • Click on the Show More Options.
    • Then scroll down to see Unique Submission, then you may choose to Check Cookies Only (Loose check) or Check Cookies & IP address (Strict Check), respectively.

If you set your unique submission to Check Cookies Only (Loose check) and your users would like to fill out your form again, they can just simply clear their browser`s cache and they`ll be able to fill out the form again. But if you set your unique submission to Check Cookies & IP address (Strict Check), no matter how many times they clear their browser's cache, and no matter how many browsers they`d use on their device, they will never be able to fill out the form again.

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
