How can I change my form lineup?

I love how the form looks when we open it to fill out. However, when we go to email a copy of it to the parents for them to have the form doesn't line up correctly and overlaps and looks super sloppy and off. Any ideas how to fix this without redoing the entire form? we already have 70 turned in so I don't want to mess those up but several parents want a copy and it is not readable because of the overlap

    Hi bussecretary,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Just to clarify, are you referring to receiving the original PDF with form submission data from emails and having it not line up correctly? If so, I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, and I ran into the same problem. When I looked at your form, I saw that most of the fields weren't mapped correctly in the PDF. Check out the steps and screencast below to fix it:

    • Go to the Settings tab in the Form Builder.
    • In the Form Settings, toggle the Original PDF connection to your Online Form to "ON". Then go back to Build mode.
    • You will now see a split view to compare your forms and PDF. Make sure to map the fields so they line up correctly.
    • If you are having trouble with the overlapping areas for the field mapping in PDF, you can click the Remove from PDF button on the right side of the field. Then, click the Add the PDF button to drag and drop the fields onto the PDF's correct area.

Keep in mind that some widgets are are not compatible yet with the Smart PDF form builder. An example of it would be the Initials widget. Alternatively, we can use the Signature widget instead.
