Creating Jotform submissions via Zapier does not trigger emails

If I set up a Zap that creates a submission in a form with an approval workflow, will that trigger the approval workflow?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Please note that as long as a form with an approval workflow is submitted in Jotform, the approval workflow will always be triggered. Furthermore, could you please explain a bit more about what you're trying to do on your form? Could you please share what kind of Zap did you create; where did you integrate Jotform with?

I'm having my form completed thru Zapier and it does put it in the approvals inbox but I have to manually add the approval workflow and I don't get an email letting me know the form has been submitted.

You mentioned that your form is getting completed by zap and you are not getting email Notification saying your form has been submitted. Could you please let us know on the form table are you able to see the submission ? If you can share the link to your form, I can check it out and help you with a solution.

It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could record a video and send it to us. You can share the video on any public sharing platform like Google Drive or Dropbox.

We are not getting an email saying our form has been submitted - but it is showing up in the form table submission data.

We also aren't seeing it on the Google Calendar thru the integration that is set up.

Thanks for clarifying. As I checked, your form doesn't have any emails to be triggered.

Please add an Autoresponder or Notification email (whichever you need) to send out emails from the form. In regard to Google Calendar, I've moved that to a new thread. You can check that out here.

Also, keep in mind that Jotform Approvals will only get triggered if the form is submitted directly.
