How to validate total amount in a matrix question

    Hello,

I want to validate total amount of 8 numeric boxes in a matrix question in my survey and ensure that total sum is 100. I don't want to allow respondents to move to the next page, if total sum is not 100. Is there any way to do this? I checked similar user questions in the support forum. I saw that form calculation widget might be helpful to calculate total of two or more number fields as separate questions. However, this is not what I need. I need to validate total sum of numeric boxes in one matrix question. Please see the screenshot.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

Unfortunately, the matrix form/widget is not possible to be used in the "Ruling" part of the condition, it may only be used in the "Action" condition.

As you mentioned, the condition you want to apply can be done by having separate text boxes/questions and applying a calculation rule there, but not in the matrix form.

If you'll continue to use the separate boxes, we can assist you further on that.

Let us know if you needed more help.

    Thank you.
