PDF reports line by line (submmissions line by line)

    Hi

Where can I learn about exporting SELECTIVE submissions as a one PAGE CUSTOM FIELDS REPORT - custom pdf

I wish to be able to export each order to various form templates - selecting appropriate fields to include.

I have tried and each time i get ALL submissions - but I just want to focus on creating custom exports of data on a line by line basis?

    Is this possible?

    Hi,

If you would like to get a file of the single row that you click on when in submissions, then please click on the "Get PDF" button in the top left corner (after going to submissions) and let us know if this is what you wanted to achieve.

If you would like to be able to select multiple rows to be exported as PDF, then please follow this guide: How to Partially Download Form Submissions as Excel/CSV/PDF?

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    Thank You Ben,

I have scan read the link re Partially - This is very manual.

I was hoping to have some predefined template facility
(of field selections that are appropriate to a particular need) so that I could go to any one record Submission and raise a PDF of a given set of fields.

Might there be a work around my form will be long multi - page?

Would a work around be to create a trigger in the form that will raise a CUSTOM EMAIL when submit is hit again?

We have multiple uses for different sets of fields and would love to be able to raise a doc/pdf that would carry the selected fields?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, there are no templates for the submissions PDF.
    Regarding your other questions:

Might there be a work around my form will be long multi - page?

I'm sorry but I don't fully understand this question. Do you mean a workaround for the submission report or your form?

Would a work around be to create a trigger in the form that will raise a CUSTOM EMAIL when submit is hit again?

The trigger would be to send a notifier that includes only the fields you want to see?
When you say "when submit is hit again" you mean that you'll allow your users to edit their submissions after they've sent it?

We have multiple uses for different sets of fields and would love to be able to raise a doc/pdf that would carry the selected fields?

Have you considered capturing your submissions using a google spreadsheet?
You would be able to filter the information you need on the spreadsheet.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    Thanks.

    Thank you Raul,

    I) Yes I'm looking for work Around (to raise /automate templates from a selection of relevant fields for the purpose - for example a Purchase order.

    2) This form will be used internally only. A max of 3 different users will ever access this and mostly it will be one user. (Thinking that all edits required after FIRST submission can be still done under EDIT in the submissions area- correct?) (Yes multiple edits after first submission)

    3) This is an INTERNAL Sales/enquiry/Quotation processing system for our Print & Design small company. I'm looking to set up as much automation as possible and - by selecting appropriately named templates with particular set of fields that suit the requirement. These would be super for:
    Sending an Order Confirmation:
Sending a works Order to our workshop
Raising a Purchase Order for items that need to be sourced externally.
Possibly even Raising Invoices - but that is not the current plan.

    4) I'm a google spreadsheet user - but I'm not aware of being able to raise a template out of one row? (one submission) But I will double check in case I'm missing some hidden feature.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    I) Yes I'm looking for work Around (to raise /automate templates from a selection of relevant fields for the purpose - for example a Purchase order.

There are two possibilities that come to mind:

    1. creating several jotforms, every for specific purpose
    2. creating one jotform that holds everything in one place and changing the email notifications.

Now the benefits of the first one are those that you can get a PDF with all the fields that you needed. You could also create a PDF form to print out and fill out.

It will also allow you to keep away from complex layout and having only the details that you need in one of the jotforms.

Now if you would need at some point to combine data from several jotforms, we have an app that could help you with that: Combine Submissions.

The second option is great to have everything in one place and to be able to all the things from within it. You can always select what details you want from that table to be shown in the PDF file before you download it and you can set the range as well.

    2) This form will be used internally only. A max of 3 different users will ever access this and mostly it will be one user. (Thinking that all edits required after FIRST submission can be still done under EDIT in the submissions area- correct?) (Yes multiple edits after first submission)

Yes, that is correct. You can use Edit in the submissions, or send an email that includes edit link by adding {edit_link} to your email notifier/autoresponder body.

Raising a Purchase Order for items that need to be sourced externally.
Possibly even Raising Invoices - but that is not the current plan.

Did you consider main/parent jotform that you would be able to embed on your private pages (or go to it directly) that would hold the link to all other jotforms? I think that that might help you to organize everything properly and you can always set the thank you page of the child form to be the link to the main form, taking you back to the top.

    Something like this: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/42943145420954

    4) I'm a google spreadsheet user - but I'm not aware of being able to raise a template out of one row? (one submission) But I will double check in case I'm missing some hidden feature.

I am not sure if this would help you, but you could set filters on your data: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3540681?hl=en

Thank you Ben for your comprehensive answer - I will be working through this carefully - in order to reach a best practice in this situation.

May I ask are there any plugins or apps that allow one form to pull a value in a field from another form?

I sense the need for our operator's to only be working in one form - if at all possibles - was just wondering if we had all the data in FORM 1 and then develop 3-4 other unique small forms that just extract certain fields from FORM 1 - that would be magic if it worked? - But I sense not?

    Ian

    Cheers

    Hi Ian,

Yes, I have mentioned it above, but there was a lot of info:

Now if you would need at some point to combine data from several jotforms, we have an app that could help you with that: Combine Submissions.

The app will allow you to select the fields you are interested in and pull them out and save into a new CSV or Excel file.

You could also see if http://apps.jotform.com/app/applidok as mentioned above by Wtfuck would work for you as well, but for combining submissions I recommend the Combine Submissions widget.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Combine Submissions.   maybe fine for one off MANUAL report creation.

    But not for us,

    a) It you cannot save 'sets' of fields for regular use. (it is for MANUAL)

    b) It does not give an option for pdf

    c) It has no layout  or formatting options
