iFrame form with required fields - jumps to top of parent page

Asked by Ctrlf5 on October 23, 2014 at 12:02 PM

    Hi,

my page isnt currently live to public yet, and i cant get sign off until this issue is resolved.

I have a form in an iFrame, that when Submit is clicked will make the parent page jump up.

This will then put the iFrame out of the viewport of the page.

How can i turn off the jump to required field off?

a similar issue was logged here: http://www.jotformeu.com/answers/434086

Please make iframe src  appended with ?nojump function, something like this:

    <iframe allowtransparency="true" src="//www.jotform.com/form/1234567890?nojump" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:503px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    That should help.

    Hi,

I made a test submission using the jotform http://www.jotformeu.com/form/42292369361357 in your website

But I was not able to reproduce the jumping issue you mentioned. When I click on the submit button, the location remains as is on the web page.

Is there a way for you to share also a screenshot to us how it was during your own test?

Maybe we can understand more about the issue if we can have an actual visual on how you meant it when the parent page jumps up.

You can follow this guide http://www.jotform.com/answers/414264 on how to include screenshot image in your message.

    Thanks.

    Hi @jonathan

The problem isn't a successful  submission, its a problem on an unsuccessful submission.

Can you repeat the process, but without filling in any of the required fields and click submit.

Then as the required fields will callback an error, the parent page will jump up, hiding the form.

    thanks

    Hi,

I tried using the ?nojump in the iFrame of your sample page, and it also didn't work in my end.

I will escalate this to our dev/technical team so that they can take a closer look. You will receive notification when an update regarding this issue has been resolved.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Is there any update to this issue? unfortunately due to the negative impact on UI, without this being resolved soon i may have to resource another vendor so we can continue with our campaign.

please let me know the ETA so i can plan accordingly.

    thanks

As of now, the bug ticket reported was already assigned to one of our developer. But depending on the load of our dev team have, there is no definite time frame as to when the issue will be addressed.

We can only ask for your patience and understanding. You will be notified here for any update status once available.

    Thank you.
