How to generate piped text from the answer choices of the previous multiple choice/multiple answer question?

    Hello,

In one of questions in my survey, I’m asking the financial resources of the respondent. This is a multiple choice/multiple answer question. In the next question, I want to learn share of each financial resource in the total revenue. In this second question, there needs to be one numeric box for each financial resource. So, the respondent will write down the share of each resource in percentage in these numeric boxes. That is why, I want to insert the answer choices from the previous question to the labels of numeric boxes. Is there any way to do this?

    Thank you very much

    Hi,

It is always best to give us the link to the jotform so that we can see what kind of fields you have and your logic behind them so that we can better answer your questions.

Based on what you said about piped text, to me that means that you would like to place values from the fields together into one string:

    field1|field2|field3|field4

To achieve this, you can use form calculation and conditions and combine the fields.

Based on the text in your post I presume that you would like some textbox to be shown to your users, that would hold the same label as the selected options allowing them to enter the shares.

To achieve this you should create the textboxes for each option in the checklist and make the conditions to show the ones that get created.

You can see the demo of it here:

Do however let us know if any of the two are what you were looking for and we will be happy to give you more details in how to set it up.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
