    Hello;

I am a user of JotForm. I have a question that is it possible to create a submission limit in a form?

Actually I want to accept only 95 submissions in every month and after 95 submissions when any visitor will open this particular form, this form will show a message “SORRY!! The maximum limit of submission is over; please try it in next month.”

Please inform me is it possible or not… If possible, please inform me the process. By the way many many thanks for your great & excellent service, an excellent online form builder JotForm.

    Hello bkp.success,

Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement. You can set your form limit on how much submission you want to receive in your form. The following guide should help you:  http://www.jotform.com/help/137-How-to-Limit-Submissions-in-a-Form

Please be noted that it does not gets reset every month so every month you will have to keep adding 95 in the limit. That means first month 95 then second month you need to increase it to 190 and so on.

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Thank you very much ashwin_d for your reply.

According to your reply do you want to mean that – let consider in this month I have gotten 90 response / submission in my form and in next month when this submission counter will reset to again 100 (for free account) then my submission record in jotform will contain old 90 responses + new responses which will come.

So, I need to increase the form limit from 95 to 190. And one another question that on that way maximum how many submission can I record in my jotform account?

    # One information required … I do not want to set any time limit (Expiration date) in my form, I only want this submission limit.. so in that case I do not need to set any Expiration date. Am I right?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Somnath,

So, I need to increase the form limit from 95 to 190. And one another question that on that way maximum how many submission can I record in my jotform account?

On a free account you are limited to 100 submissions no matter how many jotforms you have. What this means is that all of your jotforms are sharing these 100 submissions.

In order to however have control over how many submissions are made each month, you can use what my colleague has mentioned by adding 90 submissions limit, but as mentioned, you will need to increase this limit each new month in order to allow further submissions.

To put it through math: base + ([number of months jotform is available] * 95 )

    What this means is this:

    When you just set the jotform for the first time: 95 + (0 * 95) = 95

    First month has passed: 95 + (1 * 95) = 95+95 = 190

    Second month has passed: 95 + (0 * 95) = 95+190 = 285

    and so on..

I do not want to set any time limit (Expiration date) in my form, I only want this submission limit.. so in that case I do not need to set any Expiration date. Am I right?

    Yes, that is correct.

Do let us know if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Thanks Mr. Ben for your response.

But Ben from your first answer I do not get my question's answer properly … I am sorry for that. I want to say as per your terms a free account user can get only 100 submissions per month.

Let consider I have only one form in my jotform account and I have gotten 100 submissions in this month. Now my question is that in next month when the submission counter will reset to 0 then shall I get more 100 new submissions with the old submissions? (##Please consider all for a free account.)

That mean in that month my total submission of my form will be 100(old submissions) +100(New submission) [consider in next month I shall get 100 submissions] =200 and all submission will be accessible by me.

I shall be very grateful to you and your team if you clarify my question …. Again thanks a lot for your help and wonderful support..

    Hello Somnath

Free accounts have 100 monthly (regular) submissions. This means that each month you can receive 100 new submissions. And free accounts have 100 MB of available space to host your submissions. This way you can save the old submissions as many as you want as long as they are under the 100Mb.

I hope this clears this matter for you.

Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thank you very much Carina for clearing my quarries.

By the way is it possible to save my 100MB space by deleting my old submissions in my form? On that case “My forms>select form> view submissions>select submissions and delete it” is it the correct process?

And how can I know about one submission size? Is there any notification when I shall be near my space limit … like 95MB or near to 100MB?

Yes, you will be notified by email when you are near the limit and you can see how much space and each submissions you have used when you click on the little avatar menu at the top right part of the screen.
