Form submitting times out

    Since yesterday afternoon I have been unable to submit my form and have it not time out.

    The address is here (no fields are required so you can just click submit):

    I am having the same problem.  User's try to submit the form and it times out and gives them 'Connection Reset' error message.  This needs to be fixed ASAP!

    We had our firewall being changed on our data center. But it turned out the problem was a faulty switch. Everything is working fine now. We are sorry about the ups and downs today.

    My form still is exhibiting the same behavior. Times out: "Google Chrome could not load the webpage because submit.jotform.com took too long to respond."

    I've tried replicating your issue on our end and everything seems to be fine. I've attached here a screenshot of your Thank You page.

    I suggest you clear your cache, visit your form again, and see if the problem still exists. Any updates regarding your issue would be much appreciated.

    Still getting the same problem of timing out... I cleared my cache, flusheddns, tried on 3 different computers, OSX and PC.

    Hi there,

    I've tested your form again but still, I can't seem to find any inconsistencies with it. Could you try using the form's iFrame embedding code instead? Let us know if this helps so that we can provide you further assistance regarding your problem.

    The problem is occuring as all the form actions direct to http://submit.jotform.com/submit.php. I *still* cannot reach www.jotform.com. The .net url works, but again as it submits to .com it is useless to me.I don't get it as I've been able to get the form to submit correctly at another location, but on our university connection it seems that we are still blocked or not updated on the .com DNS record.

    I am experiencing the same problem. I can view, edit, and preview my form since all those actions occur via jotform.net, but the submitting action attempts to go through submit.jotform.com, which times out. I cannot reach submit.jotform.com or ANY jotform.com address at all, in any browser. I even tried a simple ping on jotform.com and that timed out too.

    Hi 2ndharvest,

    It has been almost more than a week since we have updated the IP address for jotform.com it should now be resolving. In some instance it might have still been cached in the ISP level which could be causing the issue.

    Have you tried doing a flush dns and restarting the computer?

    Let us know if this works for you.

    I have tried both rebooting, flushing our DNS, and multiple computers – our entire network is unable to access jotform.com.As this affects us university-wide, this is a serious problem that is preventing us from using our form (and from being able to justify upgrading packages).

    Hi there,

    Basically when you "flush dns" it only clears you computer's local dns cache. Obviously the problem is not on any of your local computers. This has something to do with your DNS provider. Are you using a public DNS or does your university have its own? In any case, you can try to check.


    Try to follow these simple steps:

    1) Go to your "Network Properties/Network and Sharing Center.

    2) Select the Network adapter that you use to connect.

    3) Go into its properties.

    4) Select IPV4.

    5) Click on "Use the following IP Address:" but leave it blank.

    6) Go to "Use the following DNS server address:"

    7) Type in a public DNS ip address such (Eg.Google: 8.8.8.8 or OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222 )

    8) Click on obtain Ip address automatically.

    9) Then click "Ok".

    After doing these steps you should be able to submit your forms. But, if that's the case, you might need to contact your Administrator about your DNS server and ask them to reset it. However, if this still doesn't work then the problem is elsewhere.

    Flushing DNS on my own computer did nothing, but updating our internal DNS servers finally did the trick. Forms are now submitting properly for me.

    Hi Tim,

    I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

    We recently updated our ip addresses because of security reasons. This is probably why you are having problems submitting your forms. Your DNS server has not updated its redirections, so it still points to the old ip address instead of the new one when your browser requests for “submit.jotform.com”. Hence everything times out and nothing get’s submitted. As I have explained earlier, you have to reset your DNS server (not you local DNS cache) in order to get the updated redirection or switch to another DNS server altogether.

    To be thorough, I’ve notified our developers about your issue and we’ll be working to try and do whatever we can on our end.

    What is the URL of the form that times out when you submit?
