    Hello,

Is there a way to add a border to a field to the pdf that jotform creates? I just want a border around the notes field when the pdf is created. Example attached. Is this possible or not?

    thank you.

UPDATE: We are excited to announce that we have just released the new version of JotForm PDF Editor.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately no.

Because the submission's PDF file is an auto generated file, you cannot customize or modify it in any way.

What you can probably do instead is to create a custom Thank you Page of the form submission data that you can print or Save As PDF file.

Inform us if you need further assistance on this.

    Thanks.

That is okay. If it can't be edited it is alright. We will just not do that.

    Thank you.

Oh, what about having an image be inserted into the pdf. Like I want to put an image file at the end of the form that is hidden from the form. But when people submit the form and the pdf is created at the end it has the image? I hope that makes sense.

    Hi,

You could do that, but you would need to select that in the submissions in order to show like that. To do that you should go to your submissions ( How to view Submissions ) and then click on the little gear wheel.

Once there you will see which fields to include/exclude and you should also take a look under them for 2 settings:

You should click on Show Headers and Texts and if needed (if you use plain img you can leave it checked) uncheck the Auto Hide Empty Fields.

Do let us know if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

Actually I think this would work. But it would be great if we can say which headers and texts to be shown. But for now this is great. Thank you.

Glad to hear it!  We are actually currently working on allowing users to further customize and edit PDF outputs of their submissions.  This functionality is still a ways off but it is indeed in the works.

In the mean time, let us know if there is any further we can assist you with and we will be happy to do so.

Update: If you are looking for a solution to edit PDF files you can check out our How to edit a PDF page.
