How to have Custom Amount or Donation using the Paypal Payment Tool in JotForm

I attached a PayPal account using the standard PayPal integration. It allows me to enter payment options and set the price etc... My client asked if I could also add a field where the customer could enter their own amount or make a donation. Is there a way I can do this or would that require upgrading my PayPal or JotForm accounts?

    Hi,

The Custom Amount or Donation Amount is available in the Paypal Payment tool.

You can see this option available during the configuration of the Paypal payment wizard.

    Refer to the screenshot below

I suggest review also this user guide http://www.jotform.com/help/49-Order-Form-Types

And here is a JotForm donation form template that have a basic example of the Custom Amount/Donation using Paypal tool.

Hope this help. Inform us if there is more we can assist you with.

    Thanks.

I was able to insert a donation or set your own price option OR where you set the amounts you wanted and add a description but what I was wanting was to have both on the same form.
    For example:
    service - 25.00
    service 2 - 40.00service 3 -  50.00
    donation or customer inputted amount
    submit form

    Hi,

I am not sure if I understood you correctly or not, but it seems to me that you would like to have 4 options. 3 of the options should have the pre-set value and the 4th to accept any entry that the user wants to pay. By taking a look at your first question it seems that this is true, so to do this, you can just add another field that would accept the payment details from your user.

Now everything is set just as my colleague suggested above and you can see it in action here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/43063975533964.

What I did was that I have added a checkbox with all the options to choose from that were already on the payment processing widget and added the option to enter their own value.

After that we just edit the calculation values for it

As you see we only added the values that we know, not the one that would be added by the user and now we add the Form Calculation widget to the jotform (How to Add a Widget to your Form ).

And set it to capture numbers from the checkbox above (so if they enter text into the input box, it will not take it)

Now I have decided to hide the form calculation so that it is now shown since the payment processing widget will do that for us.

Following that I have edited the payment widget to accept donations and that had hidden the products that were already there (we can remove them as well since they are not needed any more). Now I have also attached it to the form calculation widget we previously added and that is it.

Do let us know if this is what you wanted to achieve and if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards,
    Ben
