Recover deletion of Submissions

    Recover deletion of submissions. When I was reviewing my submissions I wanted to delete a number of test submissions and I deleted all the submissions. Is their a way to get them back by uploading a CSV file?.

    Sorry to know about that! Unfortunately, there is no direct way to recover the deleted submissions. However, if you have a backup copy of your submissions in CSV format, it is possible to import the submissions by using our Import Data app.

    Another possible way to retrieve your submissions from the notifications that you receive once the JotForm is submitted and from any backup integrations like Google Spreadsheet/Drive or Dropbox. But this way we cannot restore the submissions into JotForm submissions again.

    Hi Kiran,

    I noticed that this has happened to people in the past. You have safe guards in place to help prevent this by asking for confirmation and the password. Unfortunately I did not read the details of my action thoroughly and paid the price. Not sure if there is anything more you could add to make this idiot proof, it seems we (I, not all of us), are always in a hurry to get something done without realizing the consequences and reading the fine print.

    Thank you for the "Import Data app" option. I will give it a go and see what happens. Fortunately I have a copy of all the data and that it has already been processed so I really don't need to recover the deleted information here as I thought I might have to.

    I understand your concern. As suggested, I think we can improve this notification to caution the users while deleting the submissions to avoid such bad experiences. I'll forward this to our next level support team as a separate request if something can be done in this regard.
