    Hi there,

I am wondering if there is a way to base the "from" information in the autoresponder e-mail based on information from a form's text field.

I am trying to setup a way for people the company to send personalized holiday cards by filling in a form.

    The form fields would be:

    To name:

    To e-mail:

From name: (WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO)

From e-mail: (WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO)

    Let me know if possible.

    Thank you,
    Ola

    Hi Ola,

Yes, most of that would be possible to set, but the From e-mail field must be either your account or one of our email addresses.

What you could do is set the Reply-to field with the email of the person that had sent the email/ submitted the jotform.

This way as soon as someone would click to reply to a message they would be replying directly to that person, without sending anything over our servers.

I would suggest taking a look at this guide: Creating a Form Autoresponder as well as this one: Notification/Autoresponder Email Details

I would however suggest setting everything on email notifier, not autoresponder and use the autoresponder to notify the person filling out the jotform of what was sent instead - autoresponders are intended to be sent to the person filling out the jotform.

You can see here how to set the email notifier: Setting Up Email Notifications

    Best Regards,
    Ben

    Hi Ola,

I am not quite sure that I understand what you mean?

You should see multiple options only if you have multiple fields that could be used for such field (for example multiple Full Name fields or multiple E-Mail fields.

Based on the screenshot I would say that you are setting it correctly.

Do let us know however if you have any issues setting it up and please tell us the jotform that you are setting this on.

    Best Regards,
    Ben

I noticed that notification and auto-email responder offer difference options.

Notifications allow for name and reply-to to be customized based on form, but the delivery email has to be single address (not using information from the form)

Autoresponder (although mutliple field options available) doesn't let me pull information in from the form.

    Here is form ID:

    formID=43096073478967

My goal is to send out a custom auto e-mail that uses the following information from the form:

To e-mail: (WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO)

From name: (WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO)

Reply-to e-mail: (WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO)

    Hi Ola,

I am not quite sure what you mean by "WOULD LIKE THE AUTORESPONDER TO INCORPORATE THIS INFO", could you please explain?

I noticed that notification and auto-email responder offer difference options.

Yes, they are intended for different purposes and should be used one for notification of the submission and the other as a response to the people filling out the form about the date they have submitted.

Notifications allow for name and reply-to to be customized based on form, but the delivery email has to be single address (not using information from the form)

You can add several. separated by comma and you can add any field there by including the brackets around the field name. For example if there was 'toEmail' field we would add it as {toEmail} and the message would be sent to the email entered into that field.
