What happens when someone comes, fills and submits the jotform?

When a person fills out a jotform form on my website, where does that form go?  When they hit submit, do I have to enter a email address where that document goes and how do I do that?

Will I be able to see the Form filled out just as I see it on my website?   sight?  as it is on m Logo and all?

When I do see it, can I or who ever it goes to download it and print it for our records?  How Do I do that?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

Those are really good questions and I hope that I will give you good answers for each of them.

When a person fills out a jotform form on my website, where does that form go?

Every time a submit button is clicked on, the form's data is sent to our servers to be placed into submissions report. You can then view these submissions over our reports or directly.

When they hit submit, do I have to enter a email address where that document goes and how do I do that?

That depends on what you want to do. For example, someone wants to send an email to the person filling out the jotform to know what they submitted, for which they use autoresponder emails.

Some would like to get notified as well of the submissions so they set notifier emails.

To some it is not as important to get the email so they leave it as it is, without any emails being sent to anyone.

So, it all depends on you and what you would like to have your jotform do.

Will I be able to see the Form filled out just as I see it on my website?   sight?  as it is on m Logo and all?

You can see the submissions in different ways, as mentioned above, in the reports and directly in our submissions section. If you would like you can set it to show you all fields, logos and everything else or to hide certain fields.

When I do see it, can I or who ever it goes to download it and print it for our records?  How Do I do that?

You can download it as Excel file, CSV file or a PDF file, or get it in an email, all allowing you to print the values.

Depending on the report you are using, you could also print the submissions from your browser in other types of reports.

Now, the limits are really high on what you can do with JotForm Form Builder and we are here to help you move those limits even further if need. We are also here to help you with the first steps with our JotForm Form Builder, so please tell us if you have any further questions or if you are presented with an issue that you would like to solve and we would be happy to help.

    Best Regards,
