    Hi All

I would really like some help please?

I logged this on the widget page but have had no response?

    http://www.jotform.com//?formID=43092039397359#design

Basically, the responsive widget doesn't work on my lightbox forms? Please can someone help?

i've looked through most of the forums here and adjusted where necessary any steps that would look to help me but no joy whatsoever. It does not re-size for smaller resolutions/screen sizes etc

    Please help :(

    Hi,

I'm not sure if Lightbox is the one you are looking for?

The lightbox should show a modal-like or a pop-up window on the screen, if you embed using Lightbox, it will have a fix screen depending on its parent element, let's say the website where it is embedded.

    1. In my Lightbox, I customize it to have a width of 300px and a height of 500px.

    2. I embed it on my website, and when I click the Lighbox link, it turns into a mobile responsive display because of the widget detecting the width on 300px.

I would recommend embedding the form using "pop-up", as this will open the form in a new window in the mobile device and the mobile responsive widget will then adjust the display based from the window it is being displayed at.

Please let me know if I misunderstood the problem you are pointing.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you.

    HI,

Thanks for your response. As i understood it, using the mobile responsive widget would automatically resize the form "just add it and it will do the rest" as is advertised.

So I didn't think I needed to alter any width/height ect as this should do it automatically.

As I read your response it seems that this isn't the case and I must assign a fixed width to the form to be used at all times?

Your suggestion however does solve the issue however, it just means that this is the width of the form at all times.

The mobile responsive widget does work and automatically adjust the form based from where it is viewed. In this case, because we are using Lightbox, the width is based from the website where it is embedded and not to where it is being viewed.

I would also like to recommend the "pop-up" as this might be more fitting. But anyways, if the current setup works for you that is good, if you need further assistance on this just let us know.

    Thank you.

Ok, so just so I understand. The mobile responsive widget does work, but doesn't work with lightbox?

Bear in mind I'm not providing the width here, the lightbox is? If I change it to "auto" the size defaults to the smallest size possible But again not "responsive".

The popup unfortunately isn't suitable as we wish to keep them on the site as much as possible altho I do acknowledge that this would be an alternative solution, thank you :)

Based from what we observed. It seems like that.

The mobile responsive widget works on Lightbox when you provide a width that resembles a mobile display, ex. 300px.

If we don't declare a width, the fixed one for a desktop will show up.

I'll escalate this to our developers and technical team so that they can take a closer look at it. They might update the code for Lightbox or the widget, but I'm unable to provide an exact date to when this will be implemented or even be considered.

    Thank you.

Ok thats fine, thats how I understand it. The combination of lightbox with the responsive widget doesn't necessarily work in a responsive way.

I'm happy with the 300px width solution, although you may want to escalate it if it is supposed to work in the way we have discussed. I.E. be responsive when used in conjunction with the lightbox, so that the form re-sizes automatically.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Richard,

Not as yet, unfortunately. However, I've moved your request to a another thread (http://support.jotform.com/answers/520605) and opened a separate ticket there requesting the feature because separate tickets submitted on the same issue for different users would give our developers a better idea of how much a feature is being requested.

    Thanks
